Amplifying the value and impact of design.


As our product matures, the product design team’s capacities, range of disciplines, and responsibilities have diversified and grown with it. Operationalizing central and decentralized efforts will be key to maximizing the value and impact of UX Design, which is why we introduce a Design Operation Manager role as part of the Product Design team. 

How you will make an impact  
The Design Ops Manager will manage the specialist group of the Product Design team, helping to amplify the value, scale, and qualitative output of design in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders across the org.


  • Day-to-day management of the specialist group, consisting of UX Research, UX Writing, Systems design, and Service Design
  • Collaboration with Head Of Product design, other stakeholders, and the rest of the team


  • Operationalize the operations; Identify short-, medium and long-term operational needs in collaboration with your team / other teams and stakeholders 
  • Support & operationalize broader qualitative research initiatives, processes and programs across Epidemic Sound for improving our shared understandings of our user’s needs 
  • Support the development of processes, workflows, communication and methods that improve our qualitative UX output / streamlining our work
  • Support global design maintenance from an ops- standpoint (PDS, etc)
  • Make the team stay happy, collaboratively geared, and inspired
  • Evolve and support research operations in close collaboration with UX research
  • Ensuring cross-departmental sync and defining appropriate forums and processes to stay aligned
  • Manage logistics around various programs across the design org
  • Continuous week-to-week design operations as part of the design team

We believe you are/have

  • Min. 5 years in a similar role with direct reports (operations manager, design manager, research manager, or similar)
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing expectations among a broader set of stakeholder
  • Deep understanding and appreciation of design, research, and user experience work
  • Excellent communication skills & collaborative abilities, geared towards senior collaboration, empowering creative leadership in others 
  • Great unifying social skills and self-awareness
  • Awesome analytical and communicative skills, enabling proactive balancing of user-, business, and design needs 
  • The ability to bring energy to the team, making the process fun
  • Great producer skills or equivalent
