Countless customers around the world, from broadcasters, productions companies and YouTubers rely on our tracks to help them tell their stories. Epidemic Sound’s music is heard in hundreds of thousands of videos on online video platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and Instagram, and our music is streamed by millions of fans around the world on services such as Spotify, YouTube Music and Apple Music. Our HQ is located in Stockholm with offices in NYC, LA, Sydney, Hamburg, Amsterdam and Madrid. We are growing fast, we have lots of fun and we are transforming the music industry.

We are now looking for a Streaming Analyst to help us take our streams and downloads to the next level. Streaming is one of our fastest growing business areas working with a global reach, and if you enjoy a fast-paced environment with lots of potential to shape our business, this is the position for you.

 

Job description

As our Streaming Analyst, your main objective is to support the Streaming Team in data-based decision making, including both reactive reporting of key streaming metrics as well as more proactive analytical work guided by our key business strategies.

Your tasks will include;

  • Proactively developing cutting edge data analyses and insights to drive decision making and shape strategies within both music acquisition and distribution
  • Provide reporting and performance monitoring of key streaming metrics from multiple data sources, including but not limited to music, audience, and playback behaviours
  • Visualizing and communicating KPIs across the streaming team and directly to management
  • Generally support the stream team with key actionable insights on a daily basis to help us take smarter everyday decisions

This is a full-time position based at our HQ in Stockholm, and you will be reporting to our Analyst & Tech Lead Manager.

 

What are we looking for?

We believe you have a strong passion for data, tech, and music and that you are strong in quantitative data analysis while still being truly engaged in shaping the output of our team. You are a fast learner with a collaborative approach, while also having the ability to run and independently take lead on projects. You will need to be able to draw business insights to add real value to the business. You should have recent experience in dealing with large, real-world datasets from a digital, data-driven environment and a university degree in a quantitative field. Above all, you have a great drive to make an impact.

It would also be music to our ears if you have:

  • Exceptional SQL skills
  • Aptitude for translating data into business goals
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience
