The role

As A&R & Project Manger you work closely with music creators and partner labels signed to Overtone Studios, and will guide, brief and support them. You combine strategic long term work with hands-on support.

Requirements

• Scouting and onboarding new music creators
• Responsible for rapidly communicating new music briefs to the right music creators from the A&R team
• Supporting and guiding music creators in what to focus on, to improve quality, efficiency and results. Feedbacking and curating content on a day to day basis to optimize musical output and results
• Taking part in developing weekly release plans together with the Music team
• Collaborating closely with Overtone’s partner labels and their music creators
• Pitching artist releases via Spotify for Artists and similar tools
• Managing and/or participating in business development-related projects connected to the distribution of music towards partners, DSPs and YouTube
• Staying up to date with current statistics in musical performance
• Staying up to date with trends and best practices within the field
• Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities may be assigned at any time

Requirements:

• In depth knowledge of how to best manage music creators to reach desired results
• In depth knowledge of effectively communicate simultaneously with a large number of music creators
• In depth knowledge of music creators and repertoire, talent scouting and creative development of artists
• In depth knowledge of company’s entire repertoire and catalog
• In depth knowledge of industry trends
• Work in this position is performed independently
• Communicate in a clear way and practice active listening
• Personal efficiency (able to prioritize and plan one’s own time in an efficient way)
• Consistently reinforcing the organization's values, promoting a positive workplace
