We are now looking for a Senior Design Technologist to help us take our platform to the next level!

How you will make an impact  

At Epidemic Sound we are constantly increasing and improving our portfolio of global products where the common denominator is our music. As a Design Technologist, you will work closely with designers, engineers, UX researchers, and product managers to create prototypes and build interactive experiences that push the limits of design and technology. You will be involved in every stage of the product development process, from ideating the next product innovation to polishing details before launch.

This is a full-time position based in Stockholm HQ, and you will report to the Design Manager for our amazing XD Labs team.

More specifically you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover, prototype, and implement new product features and experiences

• Build and maintain front-end prototypes using modern web technologies

• Create and implement code to support product design and user interface specifications

• Create high-fidelity prototypes for user testing and stakeholder feedback

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve product development

• Lead the evolution of the product design system in close collaboration with colleagues within the team and organization

Who you are

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of software development and web design disciplines and thrive in a team-based environment. You are detail-oriented, a true team player, and take pride in your work. You are an excellent communicator who is driven by your curiosity and creativity. You can work conceptually and clearly communicate your vision to build awesome products in close collaboration with developers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders.

We believe you are/have:

• Solid experience from front-end development and/or design technologist roles

• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to apply them to product development

• Experience with CSS, TypeScript, React and other modern web technologies

• Experience with front-end tooling, such as webpack/Rollup/Vite, code linters and StoryBook

• Experience with accessibility standards

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• A plus if you have worked with implementing and maintaining product design systems

• A plus if you have experience with WebGL, Three.js, svg and HTML canvas

• A plus if you have experience with iOS and Android development
