We’re now looking for a Copyright Screener Team Lead, who will oversee and optimize the operational efficiency of Epidemic Sound’s copyright screener team.

In this role your responsibilities include leading strategic initiatives, managing team development, and ensuring scalable workflows for copyright screening. You will handle hiring and onboarding while providing feedback and performance insights to team members. You will need to stay up to date with Epidemic Sound’s DRM practices, and manage the copyright screener team to make sure we reach our business goals. You will collect data and set up relevant KPIs to track, and report back insights to the DRM Commercial team.

You will lead a diverse and talented team of 20 (and growing!) remote Copyright Screeners. The team is supported by a Screener Project Coordinator based at our Stockholm HQ. You will collaborate closely with the DRM Commercial, Product, and Tech teams, as well as external partners.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Optimize Copyright Screening operations – Ensure the scheduling and workflow of copyright screeners are structured efficiently to maximize business performance

• Collaborate closely with the Screener Project Coordinator to manage and prioritize job tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

• Work in close partnership with the DRM Product and Tech teams, providing valuable insights and proactively addressing technical issues as they arise

• Collect and analyze relevant data, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and leverage insights to drive continuous improvement. The DRM Commercial team will provide support in strategic decision-making

• Represent the copyright screening team in internal and external meetings, acting as the primary point of contact for communication with external partners

• Quality assurance and compliance – Ensure copyright screening processes adhere to internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices, maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements:

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented leader who thrives in an operational role, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You are highly organized, data-savvy, and skilled at managing people and processes. While a passion for music is not required, an interest in digital rights management (DRM) and music business is a plus.

• Proven Leadership Experience – Strong background in managing and developing teams, preferably large and/or remote teams

• Operational & Scheduling Expertise – Experience handling scheduling, task management, and workflow optimization to ensure efficiency and scalability

• Hiring & Talent Development – Hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, and providing structured feedback for team growth

• Data-Driven Mindset – Comfortable collecting, analyzing, and leveraging data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement

• Strong Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to present insights clearly and engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

• Comfortable working with digital tools and platforms; experience with content management systems (for example YouTube’s CMS) is a plus

• DRM & Music Rights Knowledge – Understanding of digital rights management and music rights is a plus
